| The Baybars Al-Khayyat Mosque |
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the registration of the “Baybars Al-Khayyat Mosque” on Al-Judariyah Street in El Darb al-Ahmar district of Cairo in the list of Islamic, Coptic, and Jewish antiquities.
This decision comes as part of the ministry's commitment to
preserving Egyptian antiquities. The mosque holds historical and archaeological
significance as it dates back to the Mamluk era and features distinctive
architectural elements, intricate decorations, and precise inscriptions.
