Relics from Weni's Tomp Exhibition 


Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, inaugurated the exhibition of the artifacts from the tomb of the governor of Upper Egypt, "Weni," from the era of the Sixth Dynasty of Pharoahs at the Sohag National Museum.

 

These artifacts include stone corner columns with inscriptions, several small stone obelisks inscribed for Weni, the false doors of the tomb, a collection of decorated shrine blocks with hieroglyphic texts, pottery tools, and embalming materials.

 

 

It will also display around 50 educational panels equipped with photographs, maps, and panoramic illustrations to inform visitors about the archaeological and historical information regarding the ruler "Weni," his tomb and the work of the archaeological mission.
