 Findings from the Ptolemaic era

The joint Egyptian-German archaeological mission between the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the University of Tübingen announced the discovery of new details in the scenes that adorn the walls and columns of the Temple of Esna in Luxor.

These discoveries included the clothing designs of the king and the gods of Esna, their crowns and thrones, which first appeared while cleaning some inscriptions on the southern inner wall, and the southern part of the western back wall of the temple.

This endeavor began six years ago with the intention of recording, documenting, and restoring the scenes that were on the temple's walls and columns as well as reversing the effects of time.
