Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has agreed to set the opening date for the Grand Egyptian Museum on July 3rd, as the activities of this major event are scheduled to extend over several days.

Madbouly added, during a meeting to follow up on the opening celebration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, that there are assignments for several ministries and concerned bodies that will be followed up periodically; so that the global opening celebration can be held in the best possible way, which contributes to promoting the Egyptian state and the tourist destinations it enjoys, as well as promoting what has been achieved during the past period.

The meeting witnessed a review of the details of the proposed celebration agenda for the Grand Egyptian Museum, starting with the form of the invitation that will be directed to kings, presidents, princes, and senior officials, and passing through the various proposed paragraphs. The assignments required from each ministry and governorate were also reviewed, as well as the required facilitations in the procedures for the arrival and departure of guests and other logistical matters that contribute to the best outcome of this celebration.

The Prime Minister directed that preparations be made at the highest level, starting at airports, hotels, and roads and continuing to the celebration venue.
