The Giza Pyramids area is witnessing a massive development project, which involves the construction of a new tourist walkway connecting the Grand Egyptian Museum to the Pyramids area, aiming to facilitate visitor movement and enhance the tourist experience.

Orascom Pyramids Projects Company is working on implementing the promenade, in collaboration with the relevant authorities, to ensure its completion according to the highest standards. The opening date of the promenade has not yet been officially announced.

The walkway extends for 1.270 km and varies in width between 11.5 to 27.5 meters, making it a major hub for movement between the Grand Egyptian Museum and the pyramids, providing visitors with a seamless experience without the need for any mode of transportation.

The project will contribute to achieving several benefit including:

1- Reducing traffic congestion around the archaeological area.
2- Improving the level of services provided to visitors.
3- Creating a comprehensive tourist experience from the moment the tourist arrives in the area until the end of their tour.
4- Increasing the region's capacity with expectations of a rise in tourist numbers in the coming years.
