The family of Sheikh Mohamed Refaat presented the National Media Authority with rare recitations dating back to 1934. Today, writer Ahmed Al-Muslimmani, head of the National Media Authority, received Mrs. Hanaa Refaat, the granddaughter of Sheikh Mohamed Refaat, in the presence of journalist Ayman Abdel Hakim.
Sheikh Refaat's granddaughter said that she received the rare recordings from the family of Zakaria Pasha Mahran, a prominent figure in Al-Qawsiya, Assiut Governorate, who recorded them from Egyptian Radio 91 years ago.
The Media Production City is working to improve the efficiency of the recordings to enable them to be broadcast from a technical standpoint, as the broadcast will take place in the upcoming holy month of Ramadan so that the audience of the Holy Quran Radio can hear these rare recordings for the first time.
