Cairo International Book Fair in its 56th edition for the year 2025, the prices
of the displayed books vary between discounted editions starting from one pound
and higher-priced books that target academics and specialists due to their high
scientific and cultural value. This year, the book "Encyclopedia of Fath
Al-Fattah," which is displayed in the religious books section, topped the
list of the most expensive books at the fair. An official from Ibn Hazm
Publishing House mentioned that the encyclopedia consists of 71 volumes priced
at 30,000 pounds. This encyclopedia is considered an important reference for
researchers and students of knowledge, making it a point of interest for
visitors interested in religious and heritage studies.

No. 1, featuring important translated world literature that starts at prices of
2 pounds. The Azbakeya Wall booth witnesses notable turnout during the book
fair every year, distinguished by its special prices that attract the audience.

earlier, and the section sees a good turnout from visitors. The Egyptian
General Book Organization participates in the 56th edition of the Cairo
International Book Fair 2025 with a wide range of books and publications

organization's commitment to providing books at affordable prices for everyone,
its booth in the fair offers special deals at symbolic prices, including

50 pounds. They also have a booth in the discount hall, where books range from
10 to 20 pounds each. The Ibhar Publishing House, through Mohammed Nabil, the
publishing manager, stated that they offer discounts on a collection of
classics by Abbas Al-Akkad, Ghassan Kanafani, Taha Hussein, and the esteemed
Mahmoud Taymour through their project to revive the heritage. Some classical
translations are available at a reduced price of 60 pounds per book, and for
the new 2025 releases, they provide a 20% discount and student discounts of up
to 25%. They confirm that the turnout this year is good. The Lebanese Egyptian
Publishing House announced that the offers include all books with discounts
reaching 20%, while some books achieve discounts of up to 40% and even 50%.

translated books for 75 instead of 150 pounds, and Mandela's book for 50
instead of 100 pounds, along with four coloring boards for 50 instead of 100
pounds, and 45 educational cards for children, and three coloring books with a
free box of colors for 40 pounds, and notebooks for 25 pounds. The Al-Zyyat
Publishing House stated that they offer discounts starting from 20% and
reaching 80% on all previous year's issues, confirming that the turnout this
year is huge due to excellent organization. The Sanabel Al-Kitab Publishing
House stated that they provide offers on all releases reaching 40%, confirming
that the turnout this year is very good.

Participation of Cairo University:
Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasr from
Cairo University Publishing House stated that there are many offers available
in every field related to Cairo University across all specializations. We
provide awareness campaigns for children in cooperation with the Early Childhood
College. We also offer campaigns about tumors and other diverse
specializations. There is a publication of research and language translation
participation with the latest publications from Hermus for Cairo University’s
translation project with translations of over 100 books. The central library is
participating with some books and European grants available at our booth with
significant discounts. All these services are offered by Cairo University to
all visitors of the fair. He noted that the turnout is relatively good.

Public turnout at the fair:
The Cairo
International Book Fair in its 56th edition, organized by the Egyptian General
Book Organization, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Behieddin Al-Assasi, recorded a large
audience presence, with around 375,454 visitors reported on Monday, February 3,
2025, bringing the total visitor count to date, over eleven consecutive days,
to 4,770,684, which is close to five million visitors since the opening of the
fair to the public. The 56th edition of the Cairo Book Fair features 1,345
publishing houses from 80 countries, with 6,150 exhibitors of literary and
intellectual publications, and participation from 80 countries representing
continents around the world. Among them are more than 10 countries
participating for the first time, including Chile, Belgium, Congo, Romania,
Bulgaria, Austria, Belize, Peru, the Netherlands, Suriname, Colombia, Vietnam,
Tanzania, Singapore, and Bolivia. The fair also includes a rich cultural
program featuring more than 600 varied events, reflecting the commitment of
various cultural entities to participate in this significant cultural
celebration.
