This novel is written by the Saudi writer Ahmed Abdullah Saad Al Hamdan, who was born in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1992. The first edition of the novel was published by the Arab Literature Center for Publishing and Distribution in 2020.
The first part of the epic of clay and fire ends with Jumana making a great sacrifice in order to marry Bahr, and Bahr’s separation from the Gathum organization for her sake and the completion of their marriage.
The novel is wonderful from all aspects, as the second part of the epic begins with Jumana giving birth to her child from Bahr , and the disappearance Bahr for a long time, and Jumana does not know any information about him, and Taj (Jumana’s mother) advises Jumana to exploit the powers of her son, who is considered a hybrid between a jinn mother and a human father, and that he has the power of Fire, but Jumana refuses that, and Taj takes the child to raise him after his mother's death, and strives to activate the power of fire within him before he reaches puberty through magical means, and then train him to use these powers and teach him new skills.
Taj said that the one who killed his mother was the elephant’s tusk, and she asked him to take her daughter’s revenge from him, and she named him Asif ( عاصف ) and the Events unfolded until he met Sarabi during his trip with the rest of his friends (Al-Hakim and Al-Shamali الحكيم و الشمالي ) and Asif goes to his grandfather, Jabbar the Emperors, to seek help from the Emperors’ tribe in the war with their ally, the Ashwash tribes ( قبائل الأشاوش ) , against the Elephant Tusk, and a major war occurs between them until Asif and the Emperors are victorious. Jabbar recommends appointing Asif as king of the Kingdom of Ababil and the Emperors’ tribe after him, which makes him the legitimate king according to his grandfather’s will, and Asif married Sarabi and installed as king over the Kingdom of Ababil after the death of his grandfather, and the rest of the events will be revealed in the next parts of the epic.
The events take you from the real world and place you in an enchanting world brilliantly created by the author. The novel is funny and heartbreaking. It contains many lessons and events written with great feeling.
The book shows us how love can overcome all difficulties. The book discusses the issue of the difference between humans and jinn, and how understanding and respect can bring them together and shows us the struggle between good and evil, and how good can triumph in the end.
My opinion about the novel is that it is a fun and interesting novel , Suitable for all ages , The novel is distinguished by its attractive writing style, its diverse characters, and its exciting events , The novel encourages optimism and steadfastness in the face of challenges and reinforces the idea that love and sacrifice can overcome difficulties.
